Insurance for painting contractors
For painters, the most common claims are paint or overspray on a client's floors, furniture or a neighbor's car, and falls from ladders. We set up general liability and workers' comp that fit how you work, and we explain what the policy covers in Spanish.
What painters usually need
- General liability — damage to the client's home, furniture or a neighbor's car
- Workers' comp for your crew, or certificates from your subcontractors
- Tools and equipment — sprayers, ladders, scaffolding
- Commercial auto for work vans and trucks
- Certificates of insurance when a builder or property manager asks
Business owner with an ITIN or a matrícula consular?

If you work on homes built before 1978, the EPA requires lead-safe certification (RRP) for renovation and painting work, and many policies exclude lead. Tell us if you do that kind of work so we can look for the right coverage.
